Merchant Business Application - Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This is Alliance Network Group’s policy to respect your privacy and to help you understand how the Company collects and uses the information you submit, or which is otherwise collected when you access or use Alliance Merchant Business Application.

1. Introduction

Alliance Merchant Business Application collects or receives information you provide when you apply, use, or sign up for/on an Alliance Network India Private Limited POS/QR/PG/Acquiring or other Services, go through our identity or account verification process, authenticate into your account, communicate with us, answer our surveys, upload content, or otherwise use the Services.

  • This Policy applies to information collected in respect of individuals or any other authorized person who use Merchant Business Application.
  • In this Policy, “you” means an individual or authorized person who accesses or uses the Application.
  • This Policy only governs the collection and use of information collected through or in connection with the Merchant Business Application. It does not apply to information collected in other ways or to any other websites, products, software, or services operated by the Company.
  • This Policy does not apply to the data collection and use practices of any third parties you may contract with using or in connection with the Application, including but not limited to merchants or your mobile service provider.
  • By downloading, accessing, or using the Application or providing information to the Company through the Application, you agree to the practices described in this Policy and acknowledge your consent to the terms set out in this Privacy Policy. IF YOU DO NOT agree with any of the terms, DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE APPLICATION.
  • In addition to this Policy, for certain features of the Merchant Business Application, the Company may present different or additional information practices and terms specific to those activities at the time the information is collected.
 
2. What information does the Company collect?

The Company collects certain Identification Data when you register a Merchant in Merchant Business Application; the Acquiring Bank will collect the required details. When you log in to the Application, it may request access to the device location.

The Application may collect Identification Data from the devices on which you install or access the Application, such as: Android ID, device brand, device model, name of Operating System and version, the location of your devices (via GPS, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi), and your IP address.

The Company may also collect Non-identifying Data such as device settings, language, time zone, user activity information, and device security state (e.g., Root, Overlay, Emulator, Debugger, or Hooks detection – Android), Phone State (e.g., network information, call status), and internet connection details (IP address, connection speed, provider).

 
3. How does the Company use your information?
  • To provide the payment solution and associated services to Merchants;
  • To evaluate, improve, and develop our services and notify you about updates;
  • To administer our services, including troubleshooting and testing purposes;
  • To help keep the Application and the Company’s systems and services safe and secure;
  • To respond to you when you contact the Company;
  • For purposes of anti-money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud monitoring; and
  • To enforce other legal agreements between you and the Company.
  • The customer’s email address/mobile number will be used only for sending e-receipts, except where consented otherwise.
 
4. When will the Company disclose your information?

The Company has an obligation to keep your Identification Data confidential and to make it available only:

  • To you;
  • To the Partner Bank;
  • To other regulatory authorities approved to receive the data by the RBI;
  • To other parties as necessary for compliance with anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws; or
  • To affiliates to serve you more efficiently.

Your personal information may also be processed where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests—namely the protection and assertion of our legal rights, your legal rights, and the rights of others. We may also process your personal information to comply with any legal obligations.

 
5. How does the Company protect your information?

The Company takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against accidental and unlawful loss, destruction, alteration, disclosure, access, or use. All information you provide is stored on secure servers and may also be stored on other devices used by us in performance of services, accessed and used in accordance with Merchant Business Application security policies and standards.

However, the Company cannot control every risk associated with internet usage. Given that the Internet is not a secure medium, we cannot guarantee that information will not be accessed or altered by breach of any kind. Please understand these risks before using Merchant Business Application and related services. We maintain commercially reasonable safeguards in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

If you have a password that enables access to certain parts of the Application, you are responsible for keeping it confidential. Please do not share your password with anyone.

 
6. Where does the Company hold your information?

In accordance with the laws of India, we store your data within India. If required and permitted by law to transfer any of your personal data to another country, it will be done in compliance with applicable data privacy legislation, ensuring a similar degree of protection is afforded to your personal data outside India.

 
7. Could the Company make changes to this Policy?

The Company may amend the content of its Merchant Business Application or services without notice, and consequently, this Privacy Policy may change at any time. We encourage you to review it periodically to stay informed of updates.

If the Company updates or modifies this Privacy Policy, the “Last Updated” date will be changed. Any amended policy will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the Application after the effective date signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.

 
8. What happens to my information when I stop using the Application?

We will retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

As required by law (e.g., anti-money laundering regulations), we may store your data for up to five years from the date of transaction or account cancellation, or longer if mandated. After that period, your data will be securely deleted or irreversibly anonymized.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, unless a longer period is required by law. Information no longer needed will be anonymized or destroyed securely.
